Leather seats 1983 Golf GTI

can anyone tell me whether leathers seats were optional on a 1983 golf GTI? Anyone used anyone decent to retrim seats (as original as possible)

I dont think you could get them as a factory option. Your best bet is look for cabriolet leather althought the rear bench wont fit, or scirocco did some leather seats that fit easily, again not sure on the rear.

The cost of a retrim may cost several times more than an easy replacement

i have black leather from a mk1 scriocco storm, they fit straight in my 1983 tintop gti :wink:
