Just in from Japan Tamiya Sand Scorcher SRB.
I had one of these years ago but swapped it for a CB Radio  :dontknow:
So decied to buy one, the question is do I build it or do I save it for prosperity as these are limited production run???

IT ALSO STATES APPROVED BY VW ON THE BOX TOO

I had a Sand Blaster when I was a kid.

I am restoring a few of these at the moment, got one of the others too, the Rough Rider. They have after 30 years re released 2 out of the 3 Special Racing Buggies, the other one is the Ford Ranger F150 which was the least popular. I have gone a bit mad really and got a little box of tricks from Japan that plugs in to the reciever and when you rurn right or left it flashes the indicators, apply the brakes through the electronic speed controller, brake lights come on. It also has normal front lights etc.
I have bought a sport tuned motor for a rebuild so it should be quite rapid too.

awesome use it and abuse it. you have probably paid good money for this so make the most of it and have some fun with it rather than sit it in a box and just think what fun you could of had.

Live for today as we never know might happen tomorrow.

Just build it and enjoy it!

The repro's have killed the 'nostalgia' market now anyway so you may as well enjoy building it and using it or leave it in the box, wait 30 years and it might be worth the £400-£500 they were fetching not so long ago.

The repro's have certainly de-valued my collection :banghead:  :banghead:

Of course it depends on what you have, battered ones usually sell around the £200.00 plus mark.
But mint in box silly money i.e. see the link below

plus look at the other items he has up for sale.

Things are only worth what you are prepared to pay for them.

8)  I had one of these in the mid 80's. Traded it for a Tamiya Mitsubishi Pajero that pulled wheelies. That got destroyed when it got ran over by an Austin Allegro :banghead:  :banghead:

Great fun and great memories!!

Need one of these!!…………….
