The only thing you can do mate is ring loads of insurers.
What may be good for someone else may not be for you.
Someone posted on here the other day that they got classic insurance for under £200.
Yet the same company quoted me over £3000.
I lost count of the amount of phone calls I made.

Like I said before mate, whats good for someone else dont mean its going to be good for you.
I personally wouldnt bother getting quotes online, you cant get the help or service you get with talking to someone on the phone.
Grab a yellow pages, go to the first insurance page and start ringing round :-)

Wow! £3000-£5000 is serious money for insurance 8O …..then again I dont suppose it is any cheaper if you went with a modern car either :?
I'm 41 and my daily insurers tried upping my insurance by £50 this year with no reason for the increase..keep shopping round, always keeps them on their toes
The renewal for the classic insurance on the MK1 came through on Monday, and even though the quote is still the same, I noticed they put items on the renewal that I never agreed to before (Alarm/Immobiliser and a few other things) , suppose they will try to increase it when I ring them and tell them they got wrong information :?
