Was looking for ages to get some chrome mirrors for my project – the early flag type mirrors. Had seen a few sets on the other forums new old stock items but big money was on them… much too big money!

So was on the vwvortex forum and noticed an add for newly produced chrome mirrors for the mk1 rabbit from Concept1! They looked very good and identical to the vw old ones… so I phoned them up and they were 170 Candadian Dollors – bout 80 quid! Not bad at all! But he said I’d have to get the visa checked etc etc – mmmm ok I said I’ll do that sometime.

Then went home and said to bro – can get chrome mirrors from Calgary – he says thats were aunt and uncle are and I said oh yea that’s right – he said they’re coming home on Friday…. I said what the chances they could get em for me???

I did a route finder for the address of the shop and my aunt and uncles house – turned out they were like 3 miles away! So I phoned up my aunt and uncle up and he was like ahh yea I know that place we get pizza there too.. its like a shopping mall type thing!

I told what I was after and he said yea no probs I’ll get em this afternoon!

Ha ha! How do you beat that! So I phoned up the guy in Concept 1 he’s called Curtis and told him my Uncle would be in – he said no probs! So my aunt took some pics of the shop – it looks really good – check out the camper van counter!
