what? a fiat 500 that was actually used.

the camera at low level makes it look quicker. i helped a friend do a study on it when he was at uni studying film.

no way that can be a fiat 500... no one has been able to confirm what is it.

why not?


the engine tone is put over the top. as is the tyre sqeul. and the low camera height makes it look fast. to be honest it's a fantastic peice of footage. dont really car what car it's on.

I tend to believe that its the Merc 450 that the camera was mounted on for filming and that the sound of the Ferrari was dubbed over the top. Its been analysed and experts reckon the car's max speed was around 85-130mph, although the dubbed sounds suggest much higher speed achieved.

he reckoned it was an excellent peice of footage that was well edited.

OT but what does everyone reckon of the best car chases, or similar scenes, in films?
