i need help

can anyone one help im looking to but a mk1 golf cabriolet its a 1991 clipper and its done 115000 miles needs a new rook and a speedo cable and needle body in good condition no other problems how much should i be looking to pay?

Has it got any TAX / MOT, any service history? etc.. . makes a lot of difference.

Did you mean Roof ??? if so i guess no more than £900-£1100 if the body is in good order.

Im going with Ginner, if the roof was in good order I would say £1500, but if it
needs replacing its going to be closer to £1000, but its only an "educated"
guess, as without the full info / pics, its only circa.. .

I pressume rook should mean roof.
For a complete Headliner upwards to roof covering would be around £800.00 plus.
That's from a fitting company.
So it would depend on how bad the hood is.
So work out what work you can do yourself compared if you had to get a garage to do it.

Compare that to buying one all ready to go with the roof done etc.

Let's say he wants.
£1500.00 and you need to replace all the roof components, coverings etc complete etc add that to the price= £2,300 that would buy a tidy one, plus you would have the other stuff to repair on top.
A car is worth what you want to pay for it and waht the sellers wants.
Alot depends on budget.
