I had a dream...

..that in the Budget on Tuesday the Chancellor will announce that any car over 20 years old would qualify for a special low rate of Road Tax because the car is considered 'environmentally green' as it had (obviously) already been produced, thus saving all the 'polutants' produced and save on the raw materials used in the production and transportation etc. of a 'new' car……

….so today, when the GTI and the Clipper both passed their MOT's with (no advisories), I rushed down to the local Post Office and renewed my Road Tax on the GTI ( :banghead: …cost more than a year's insurance   :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead: !!!!!!)…..

I DON'T trust ANY Politician…..

….and my imagination does run wild……

Owning a Mk1 cabby is a vertical learning curve…

1989 Mk1 Clipper 1.8 automatic - Sadly now up for sale - medical issues dictate)

1999 (Nov) Passat S Saloon 1.9 TDI (AFN) - TUG 1 (Remap by CCC ( - **** …..change pants !!) with cruise control

2000 (Mar) Passat Sport Estate 1.9 TDI (ATJ) 5 speed automatic with Tiptronic - TUG 2 (Remap and cruise control by CCC)

Ah, but at least we're getting to play with them.  The next generation won't have hovercars, they'll be walking or on the train and petrol fueled machines will be viewed as archaic social suicide, even if you can afford the £10 a litre.

Im the greenest motorist i know because I own 2 mk1s a mk4 Golf an Audi A4 and a 4x4 Mitsubishi Pajero

my "Green" neighbour went mad at me saying "having all those cars is disgusting and think of all the pollution"

I then told her "if i own all these cars I'm greener than her" she looked puzzled.
I then explained "well my dear i can only drive one at once so me having these cars is stopping someone else driving them burning fossil fuel and adding to the carbon in the atmosphere"

she looked even more puzzled but then she would wouldn't she

Dont ask what your club can do for you, but what can you do for your club?

Cant beat petrol, it smells nice, they have nice shops they sell it in…. looks nice,
smells even better when its spitting out the back of a newly started car
first thing in the morning…..

Cold clean crisp air, with a whaft of exhaust……. luuuuurvely.

What can you do with an electric car?, switch it on, go 10 miles it
goes flat, and get towed home by Diesel AA lorry.
