Real shame they didn't do the 3 door! still must be nice knowing everything on your Mk1 is new!
think I prefer the original front end and unsure on that line they've done in the rear quarter :?

i really like the red one pictured with the lupo GTI wheels…..could do with being a bit lower thou'.
One of the best bits is the one piece windows up front and mirrors in a useful place
Importation is likely to be expensive but not as bad as a car going to S.A as they pay 50% import duty on the value of the car.

Must admit its a nice modern update of the MK1 golf. Wonder if there is any importers into this country.
I just fancy a holiday to South Africa now and do a fly drive…lol

Think VW would consider importing them? Might ask at a dealership. For that price plus 1 grand for delivery with the finance thing might be cheaper than my current insurance lol.

Its like having a new golf with a MK1 outside. Think I prefer the old interior, The new citi golf looks like a Bora inside

I agree with you Robb
If they stuck with the Orignall Dash it would have been really cool it would still have given it the classic feel.
Cheers 8)

Plus the costs of registration, and import tax etc. etc. Add it all up, it's not that cheap in the end
