how sad are we

i now im not the only one but we are all wishing our lives away waiting for the summer to fix and drive our cool cars ? we will be very old before we know it    ps what age do you think you should give up driving mk1s providing ther are any left next 20 years :dontknow:  :wink:

Nope….I'm fixing mine in the winter, and if/when it runs, driving it too! No need to wait for summer. Although there's probably a lot of cabby owners who go into semi-hibernation at this time of year (and their cars).

thats me mate  dont have a garage cars away for afew months though dont think i can handel a few months  got lots to do . scotland is a cold place to work on you car in the street

I rely on mine for a daily driver, never let me down so far *hangs vw amulet round neck*  

This is my first winter with the Cabby and I have to say I've been driving her the five miles to work whenever I can. I change jobs in the new year though and will have a 30 mile blat up the M40 to look forward to so she might not be out on very wet or cold days.

As for waiting for summer, no way! I'm still managing to work on her in the garage. I've just resprayed the front bumper and took the oportunity to paint the grille gloss black too! Looks cool. I'm weking my way through the engine bay and one day will have it as spanking as Bert's Citi Golf which must have the best bay I've ever seen!

definately miss the shows, long daylight hours but i will still be doing jobs on mine throughout the winter cleaning and waxing, but i was in a very happy mood today  saying great christmas is over just need to get january out of the way………….
