How much for a recondition gti 1600 gear box?

How much would it cost for a reconed one?any ideas please. :wink:

company called dg or maybe dm transmissions in falmouth cornwall, theysaid i could adjust final drive as well, probably..

will a mk2 gti 1800 8v box fit my 1600 gti? :wink:  :dontknow:

but i doubt it and would you want to..
surely the ratios would be alot different, other way round maybe ie 1800 with a 1600 gearbox

way to dear mate got mine done for ?280 all in new gears , everything .
1st to 4th are 1.6 gears and my 5th is alonger ratio from a later 2.0 8v .
kent transmissions

sorced a 1800 mk2 box for 100 notes,the bloke at the garage,who is fitting it said it will fit and the ratio's sould be to bad.do you think it will be much different to a 1600 box? :wink:
