hi can someone please help. was driving down a road at the week end and someone had spilt white paint and guess who drove through it. ive got a mars red gti so u can imagine what it looks like…..CRAP!!!! is there anything i can use to get it off without damaging the paintwork???????

I had some paint thrown over my car ages ago - I'm sure it was cellulose thinners I used. Use sparingly though as if you rub the same place long enough, you will start to see your cloth turning red!

cellulose thinners will indeed remove most stuff, but also your cars paint as well, so beware. It's quite a powerful chemical, and you can do a lot of damage. I speak from experience having used it to remove tar from paintwork on an old car of mine, and really messing the paint up in the process. Luckily it was only a metro
Whatever you do, do it soon, as the paint probably hasn't had time to fully dry yet so should be easier to remove. Leave it 2 weeks or so and it'll be more difficult.
