Hi i bought a fuel tank from a chap on ebay from Weston Super Mare, i have the real address but will not disclose on here, however i do have a picture of his car outside his address which he supplied. Does anyone recognise the car? if so could you have a word with him and advise him to refund me… The story is i paid for a tank by bank transfer and he has gone quiet ever since…
He is called Leon
Please help if you can!
P.s i have a certain job where i could proceed with criminal proceedings but would prefer to go the easy way about it…
Thanks

Sorry to hear about it mate, it's a shame that people like this have to ruin forum trading, and turn everybody into skeptics.

This is always annoying, perhaps one of the mods/membership crew might be able to help you track him down, if he's a member on here?
It seems a bit off that he obviously has parts for a mk1, but seems to want to scam someone for the cost of a fuel tank

We have contact, silly excuses of friends ebay account, changed passwords etc, but he had my number all along!!
He is now saying i cant have a refund and the only option is to send the courier again..
Do i have a legal right to claim the money back as the goods have never left his hands..

Yes you do but you've chosen a payment method which makes it very difficult to simply get a refund. Paypal or cash on collection are really the only two which I'd use these days, for buying/selling anything privately. For buying from shops/businesses, credit card is the best because the CC company can arbitrate in disputes (I think its over £100 though).
