Has anyone camped at Edition38 before?

As above, might be camping at Edition on Saturday night so trying to get a feel for what it's like. I've been slightly worried by tales of centre caps going walkies, stuff stolen from tents and general drunken behaviour.

Can anyone set me straight?

I have. I had a great time. It has quite a chilled out atmosphere but I have heard these rumours too. I just removed my centre caps and bumper end caps and locked them in the car out of sight before I fell asleep. I never keep valuables in the tent anyway. Also, some people play music very loud into the night.
Unfortunately it only takes a few buttheads to ruin it for everyone.
Just use your common sense, relax and enjoy yourself.
That's what i'll be doing this weekend :)

How is it organised with reagrds to camping arrangements? Is it like one large area or is the camping and the show seperate?

I camped there a few years ago… And was probably guilty of the drunken behaviour and some load music. Thinking Welcome to the Pleasuredome by FGTH. :-)

Had camping equipment and indicators stolen off my car one year… Admittedly was 5 or so years ago and I know security has been improved since and mention to it on the Edition38 forum,so I wouldn't be too concerned providing you lock things away.

Generally a laid back affair, but not quite Stonor Park - the mix of drink and local traveller community make it different. I'm driving up early on Sunday morning.

Hmm loud music all night, kids driving cars when drunk, security useless, I got out of the sleeping bag found security and told him to sort it out, he went on the radio and told me to move on. I wouldn't bother,

Went once, a few years ago.  Would not go again!  Too many drunken idiots, the constant smell of weed in the air, cars getting damaged etc

I sound like an old fart dont I

Sorry to those that like it, and i haven't been to Edition but nothing in the world is going to drag me from Action lol!

Edition 38 show is overpriced if going for the day, if you dont know anyone who is there then chances are you wont know anyone new when you leave either, it's that sort of atmosphere imo.

Loads of bad stories over the years from those who have camped for the weekend  :?

Autojumble is not bad if the weather is good, but if the weather is damp/rain then the only traders will be similar to those at Ultimate Dub - Chrome platers, Meguires, polishing cloths, that sort of thing

If you want a good weekend then VW Action is lot better (as long as weather is dry - for track action   ) and the evening entertainment is very friendly, relaxed  :P

I last went to E38 in 2005, was brilliant back then.  Haven't been since and not tempted to whatsoever, you're not missing anything tbh :)

Bit of a late reply, but absoloutley pants. I would'nt go again if it was free, ive never seen so many suck ups in one place. The forums bad enough and the show is just exactly like the forum, full of idiots/thieves/scammers/weed heads and general c*ck heads. The guys running it are so far up there own backsides they have no real world sense of actually what makes a good show. If this was the only vdub show of the year i still would'nt go again.
