I had a little thought today…
Does anyone play Gran torismo 5.? i'm mainly on it now to suss the Nurburgring out for when i make it there and thought what if there was a mk1 owner's club online host.? Only mk1's.? is there one out there.? or shall i make one, i'm not on line much tho be better if there was an addict for people to join more often… Jst a thought..

thats a great idea! i still need to win or buy a mk1 when i can! have you got one? if so, what race did you win it on? or how much was it? id love to be part of a mk1 race with loads of mk1's tuned differently, could do a leader board and championships and everything! what a great idea!

Agree with rusty, they don't 'chip up' very well for the money albeit you can win the 'german performance only' cars in the pro league in it 8)   by the way it helps if you mess with the gearing a little as otherwise it tops out too quickly!

And you definately have to wait to find one in the used car section, our kids had one but I haven't….. he's not at all pleased about it  :roll:

sorry guys, first car i bought on gt5 was a mk1 golf in white (no surprise there) its tuned but its not very good.

I'v jst set a race up called "MK1 GOLF Owners Club" it's not got fixed ownership so am guessing other people can take over when am not online..
I'v not quite sussed out  how to make it mk1's only tho,

I'd completed 65% of the game before i found my mk1 in used for about 7 or 8k.. then another the next day so i bought that as well
One is lowered, lightened, stiffened, engine rebuild, etc etc and on super soft racing tyers..
My best allowed lap round nurburg nordschleife in 7:59.349… on the d pad

you'll find it in the used car dealership. you can figure out the sequence of how cars appear in the dealership (if you can be arsed) to see when it should arrive. its a shame its not a premium car as I love my interior views. not driven it much to be honest but a mk1 only race would be cool need to tinker with my set-up..
