golf mk4 tdi help needed please

hi guys, wondering if you could help me, i serviced my mates mk4 tdi, i primed the fuel filter and the car started then cut off a couple of times and now the cars cranking and not starting at all. for some reason the fuel pump is not getting any voltage, and i cranked the engine with the fuel filter "in" pipes off the filter and there was no fuel comming through. the car was working fine before the service. any help would be much appreciated. thanks

fuel pump relay or  fuse?
is there enough battery voltage?
you've obviously tried bleeding the system through the injectors.
