Golf Limo

Weird eBay find for Dub enthusiasts

The Dub scene are a pretty cool gang, but it can be argued that sometimes they try to be too cool!

For example, check out this Mk1 Golf, or Rabbit as it?s called in America for some strange reason. Rather than slamming it on some coilovers or making it into a track weapon, the owner decide that the nippy little hot-hatch would serve well as a limo.

We guess the owner had second thoughts as the plucky Golf was last seen on eBay. The Starting bid was ?3000 if you were interested!

Same, why do that to the front you can obviously see its not a merc from the rear. It's like them people who are building fake ferrari's with toyota mr2's.

I was in Smiths the other day and as I flicked through the magazines I came across a Kit Car one with a Fezza on the front. The guy had made it using a 406 Coupe as a base car. Didn't look toooooo bad but it had a fake engine in the back which look simply hilarious!!!! It was so bad I actually found myself making a involuntary funny noise out loud.

not really.
some of those farraris are pretty good.
apart from the length that is. and the noise
and the fact that all the panels fit and you cant climb though the gap between the door and body to get into it.
and the fact they don't break down as much
and the small issue of service costs
etc etc etc.

it looks quite well done till you get to the front.

Going back to the limo, if it had twin light grill, smoked x-hairs and BBS splits I'd have  it 8O :D
Although it woud mean a couple of new wings as well, hey ho . . .

I no longer have the Mk1!! I now whizz round in a Black 1990 3dr Mk2 GTi 8v but the roof doesn't fold back when the sun shines :o

The only problem with that golf is you'd forever be climbing over the front seats.

Well you couldn't exactly get in the front and drive off, wouldn't look like you had a chaffuer.

Good job it's got blacked out windows so people can't see the interior at the front…could do with a carpet…and those messy wires need sorting out. Now I'm just being picky.

Good basis for a show car.  Especially if you made sure that the back had a seat in big enough to lie down on.  Much better than camping in a tent at Inters!
