Gaydon, press?

Drew or Hairyarse, I don't know who to address this to, just wondered if you've got any interest from publications for doing a review/report on the forthcoming Gaydon meet?? Who will be there??

Dave Richards from Practical and Classics will be there in his Mk1 GTi. Don't know if he will do an official report though.

Response has been pretty poor to be honest from the publications although to be fair some rejections to invites were due to prior engagements.

Volkswagen Driver mag may also be there but press release will be sent out to all mags that don't attend after the show which hopefully will get printed.

I have confirmations from Volkswagen Driver and Classics and Sports Car in my email at the moment…

The local VW dealer can't make it as at a coutry/local show :cry:  (who wants to look at a MK5 anyway?!)

Yes it at the town and country show at stoneleigh where i am displaying both my mk1 and mk3

Its a good show with plenty to do, if you stay over at gaydon its worth a look as its only a few miles away on the saturday or monday.

Its good for classic cars    but has some more modern stuff as well inc VW, TVR, Porsche, bentley etc

Not a chance…. i'm having a show within a show. I'm using stoneleigh as my base camp, as i live in norfolk i will travel to warwick on friday, set up base (my 12 man tent 8)  ) and camp there until monday. Sunday i will be heading over to Gaydon with my mk1. and as there is no traffic movement is allowed at the town and country show between 0900 and 1830 it means i will be at gaydon bright and early and you'll be stuck with me until it finishes
