freeze panes in excell!

freeze panes in excell!

ok so i try and freeze just the top three rows and the first colomn. but it freezes either just top row, just first colomn, or top 5 rows and first 5 colomns.  how do i set the amount i want it to freeze?   its doing my head in.

It's when you want some rows or columns to stay still while you can scroll down the rest.

For instance a massive list of names with column headings across the top. Freee the top row and you can scroll down with the headings still showing.

Rov - Click below and to the right of the column (s) and the row (s).  In your example I'd click in B4 and then select freeze panes. This will freeze the column to the right (A) and the rows above 4.

Does that make sense mate?

Just reread what I typed and realised I put right rather than left (A)! You got me anyway so no matter!
