Finally

Due to an unexpected reason i won't be able to attend the mass meet at Gaydon  , the reason - A surprise phone call from the spray shop ,my car will Finally be back on Sat and with the best will in the world i cant get it ready in 24hrs . As this leaves me with only 5 ish weeks before my trip to Nurburg i have to spend all of my time getting it built , mot'ed and set up . Should be able to get it done and i'd really like some time to drive it around to iron out those little gremlins before driving it across Europe so this'll be my last post for abit .I will of course post some pics when i have time , in the meantime these'll have to keep you .

Wish me the attensions of the lady (can't say it as thats unlucky)

Sorry to let the side down on Gaydon but i will be there for the next one .
I'd just like to add thanks to anyone who's helped me with advice and moral support (Phil , turbo , hairy arse ,Al , daisy to name a few) - :D your all top geezers and gals .
That's it i'm off to my garage to play .

That engine looks sweet! don't blame you wanting to get it all done!

as you may not be able to make it to Gaydon the least you can do is take lots of pics of your progress for when your next on here so we can see it!

Good luck! hope you don't get any unforseen problems

Cheers fella's . Engines A 2.0l from a mk3 , heads a tsr pack c 40mm inlet ,35 exhaust ,Tsr 203 cam , slick 50 spec ported cast exhaust manifold ,lightened flywheel , lightened ,balanced and knife edged crank , baffled sump ,uprated oil pump , Audi throttle body and cpr with matched inlet manifold ,Hand polished alternator . Its all mated up to a standard rebuilt gearbox with a comp clutch (can't afford the lsd yet) , with a omex soft cut limiter that has launch control . Should be fun

Daisy - tried to catch up with you and Al at volksfest wales , never found you and Al was always surrounded by onlookers , quick question where did you buy your arch spats ? as i still need some for mine .

Can't wait to get my car back . Going to see it tomorrow (Fri) so i can get some pics before its top coat goes on . Will post pics as and when.Roll on saturday .

Yup the black plastic bits , yours fitted / were fitted really nicely . Pictures dont do yours and Al,s cars justice ,Al's seems to glow and yours is just too shiny . Seeing your ronals made me realise how worn mine look , mind you they have done 90,000 in all weathers and three track days. My car was the battered grey mk2 in the club area next to my mates black MK2 3Dr G60 syncro and the girlfriends rocco was in the show and shine . Turn out was better than Donnington i thought .

Smart looking engine!

I notice that you haven't fitted the lower guard over the timing belt - I recommend putting one on, as if a stone flicks up, and goes between the belt and one of the pulleys, it could break the belt, leading to a less smart-looking engine  8O
