Final word on Caddy and Jetta registers....

…well maybe!

Just had a quick, but pleasant, chat with the folks over at vwcaddyforum.com and they have just started a register for Caddy's worldwide (15th April). They have a specific section for UK Caddy's.

I guess that settles that part atleast!  Still no word from the Jetta owners club, but I suggest, unless there are dissenting voices, that we leave it be and concentrate on the er…

Golf!

Cheers,

Drew.

I agree with you Drew. If Caddy is catered for should leave the Jetta alone also.

Totally agree with you on that one Drew :clap: . Pointless duplicating identical registers. Another reason not to have a Jetta one; the Jetta Club may decide to start one at some point in the future. I would have thought that if Jetta owners desire a register they have a club in which to bring that about. Could we provide a link for the Caddy register in return for them refering peps to our registers?

Club GTI (or is should that be Club VW/Audi Group?) never appealed to me when I got into Golfs as it seemed so diluted by all the cars covered. Lets keep it simple (I like things that way :? ) and specific.

Wahoo glad that's been sorted!:clap:

Maybe should change the clube name and website to:
www.mk1golfownerclubonlyyesthatsrightnojettasorcaddiesjustgo
lfs.co.uk :lol:

Joking aside I have a few questions:

How come we are a .org.uk :scratch: ?

I like www.mk1golf.co.uk or www.mk1golfownersclub.co.uk
Are they taken Drew or is it a case of they are expensive to buy?

And how can we get higher up on the search engines? Awesome gti is higher than us!  :|

If this is a case of cash can we include this in membership fees or signup?

I used to own a mk1 - well I've had 2 actually - YDU 720X & SMU 420Y. Currently I drive an 98 Scotia White Mitsubishi Evolution V RS…. fancy getting another mk1 someday :D

I think Drew chose "Org" as it sounds more official for a club...

Org = Organisation
Co = Company

I always intended the 'Club' to be non profit making, so 'org' is more appropriate.

And prowler had already pinched www.vwgolfmk1.co.uk … :wink:
