Early Golf diesels were 1.5, they later enlarged the engines to 1.6.

8O  4000 euros! it looks a bit of a shedder to me? i would say thats way way overpriced, even with low miles, the ad even says the cars sat around most of its life, which is never a good thing

A restored Gti would be cheaper!!! The mileage is low but pretty irrelevant, diesels with regular use and therefore high mileage run a lot better anyway, it's just been left to fester! The body and trim are no more special than the later models, and besides, I'd rather have the 1.6! A nice colour, but looks pretty shoddy, :dontknow:

i quite like it!! Yes way over priced though, so go on then, what would be a fair price?

?700, that would get you a really good 82-83 1.6 diesel
