eurocarparts..what d`ya think of this...?
rang them again yesterday (after no call back AGAIN) to be told that the cable had been passed on to another branch to be sold, cos it`d been sat on their shelf for 5 days 8O when i said i`d been waiting for a call from them,i was then told that they could`nt get the bush kit !
i then spoke to the same woman who said `no problem,i`ll get you another cable but it`ll be a couple of days, but i`ll ring you tomorrow to confirm
well i got my call today to say that yes they could get one…great..or so i thought..i asked again what the price was just to confirm…she came back with `well i`ve spoken to my parts manager and he say`s that there will be a £15 delivery charge (on top of the price) because they got one before, and i did`nt go for it,and that it will be a special order`…. 8O 8O
GSF it is from now on then..the way i see it now is, i should have had a call back regarding the bush kit/clutch cable and they now want to charge me an extra £15 because they cocked up…shame really because euro is 5 mins from me but i won`t be dealing with them any more..is this the way to deal with customers?

MEMBERS BEWARE - you have to get the parts and fit them straight away. They will not accept any fault after 7 days or so even if they send you the wrong part. Now, I don't know about you but as a car enthusiast I have to wait for weather and time to work on my car and this could take weeks not days! They also sent incorrect bearings and switches. You'd think nothing could go wrong typing in your reg but I assure you it can.
I am sticking to my local AVP (All Vehicle Parts) or GSF. Wouldn't touch Eurocarparts again.

To balance this a little, when I refurbed my engine earlier this year I was sent the wrong air filter, it was too large for my air box. The Preston branch exchanged it without hassle and it was more than 7 days after delivery.

We have a Euro Car Parts rep on the forum. Please can you pm him and tell him about your experiences. They need to know to be able to put things right.

If it wasn't for the convenience of price and locality i'd go else where.

Then I got to know someone who worked there and while there has still been a couple of cock ups due to parts in wrong boxes or wrong labels on the boxes the service has been great. He admits himself that ECP can be utter shite, he's been trying to get me a price on some crank bearings and has had no response from his own special orders team.
