Whereabouts are you?  I may not be too far away.
I don't have a rhd circuit board, or an s1, but may be able to make a bridge.

Hey so glad you may be able to help a bit far away but never mind where exactly are you? Hope you can come round for a lovely bar b que and have a look at the car for me i have near enough everything here like soldering kit etc for bridge connection. yeah looks like it shorted out somewhere also indicators dont work in rear horn doesnt work either and no fog lights either and also no petrol gauge reading either which used to work but anyway if you have a spare moment just give us a call and we can arrange something even if it means paying for your petrol or more meat on the bar b q 666784447 Ed

I'll have a look where and when in my diary, had a quick look at your 'photobucket' pages, it looks like your doing a re-furb, so I'm guessing it's not going any where in a hurry?

I have to come to Malaga a few times over the next few weeks, so may be able to tie-it up with something else.

I'm in Torrox.

Even if I can't get over there, I may be able to help you fix it yourself. I'm a mechanic by trade, although I fit 'Toldos' now.

If you fancy converting that to LHD, I have a couple of spare shells, and loads of bits etc.

The first thing to do is identify why it blew the circuit, and for that, it may be best to remove the circuit from the clocks and trace where each cable goes, then work out what wire has blown and where it went. If someone has a s1 wiring diagram for this part of the car, that would be helpful. Sounds like you may have a few wiring problems, although it could all be related. The fuse box isn't brilliant on the early models. What condition is yours in?

Torrox ok not too far then. Yeah the car was completly abandoned for over 8 years i bought the car 2 years ago with all the paper work i have spent 2 years doing it up  re-furb and still giving me  headaches with the wiring problems I have almost given up basically!!! i had a rat chew all the cables and i have spent weeks soldering wires back to there original places but there are a few wires that i do not know where they go so hopefully if i can get hold of an s1 wiring diagram ( you know where i can get one from) i will have a look myself and try and repair it but i would like a mechanic like yourself prefer to look at it if possible. No hurry like you said its a bit by bit mini project that i am slowly getting it back to its full glory with a few modifications.
