Ebay weirdness or Not?

Weird Ebay dealings, just noticed two sales of a weber carb , same pic but two different people.

 U judge

Item 1

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4599396340&category=9889&ssPageName=FavMerch_BH:SI1:IT

Item 2

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4598356305&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Bit sus aint it.
My question would be , Why use someone elses pic?, could break ebay trading rules of Item not as described in photo and/or discription. It surley does not mention it in both descriptions that the photo is not of the correct item, maybe the same item, but does not show the condition etc..

Any way what are your thoughts?

Sounds a bit dodgy that. Don't like the sound of the one where you need to pay an extra ?30 surcharge then send your old carb, etc, given the photo is "suspect".
I use a friends sellers account and he alerted me to the fact someone had ripped-off the text from a just expired advert of mine and used in another advert for the same item. I used 'ask seller a question' and asked him to change his text. He tried to tell me adverts weren't subject to copyright (wrong !), and I could "do my worst" if it bothered me. Anyway, I reported it through ebay and they pulled his ad. SO - if anything looks dodgy and bothers you, ebay do take steps to sort it out.
Cheers,
Mark

I just feel for  a person who get ripped off on evilbay. Could of been me back along looking for a weber for me car. If you dont know what, when or how your going to get caught out. Im not the type to tell on anyone, but if i see a rip off, then i would step in.

I was once selling a computer processor, a few days later I spotted somone selling a similar processor using my picture.

E mailed him and he said it was his picture!!! E mailed him back and said it was mine, his description was slightly wrong for the picture and sent him a copy of the original full sized picture!

Got a load of abuse back.

E mailed ebay.

And the guy was history…

I've been the victim of photo-theft in the past and even full item description theft. That annoyed me more. I now put 'DUBPARTZ' on my pics but even that doesn't stop some people ! :banghead:

????? I have seen that pic somewhere before - was it a photo from a Weber brochure of long ago ????
The carb looks too clean to have come off a car.

Owning a Mk1 cabby is a vertical learning curve…
