Early GTI alloys

Dubboy can probably answer this one - been helping a mate clear through a garage full various VW bits. Came across four 13 inch series one Golf/Sciroco GTI alloys - think they're 12 spoke, appear to be average condition. Don't see these round much nowadays - are they worth a lot :dontknow:

they dont seem to fetch much now, probably best taking em a show mate as they aint fetching nowt on the 'bay'  or keep em' as back ups

There are 2 types of early 12 spoke. Flat type fitted to Golf and the other has a slight concave surface fitted I think to Scirocco and Passat. I have also seen a 4.5" version at a show autojumble.

I don't think they are worth that much either as supply exceeds demand. I may be interested in a spare set if they are local, cheap and in good nick with no kerbing damage and are straight. Any pics? With tyres?

Cheers, will have a look and take some photos next time I go there. Basically a garage full of various VW mk1/mk2 bits that a mate is clearing for a mate, so may be some goodies in there.

you know if you spot something and think 'nah, mine's good, I don't need another'.. it'll get thrown away then you'll need it

Don't worry Phill, I will . There appears to be quite a bit of mk1 stuff, but its all mixed up with mk2, vw camper bits and general junk so is going to take a bit of time to sort through :roll:
