Driving the golf to Devon Part 2
I filled the tank up and then loaded the car up for my hols with the wife moanin in the background "take the honda it wont make it"(bad omen 3?). I was tryin to convince everyone its an adventure (thanks dano) but I only managed to get to knutsford with the car splutterrin and the fuel pump makin a very loud buzzin noise. :dontknow:
I managed to get to Dudley at an average speed of 30mph on the motorway where an old friend lent me a car to carry on my journey.
Picked car up yesterday with a new fuel pump.
Can i blame the mechanic for puttin in contaminated fuel for burning out my fuel pump?
What an adventuere that cost me an extra ?350 for my hols (taxing and insuance on mates car plus fuel pump). Cant wait to go again…

I'll try a sensible conversation with him on monday.
I had this problem and I had the wheels digitally re-aligned and new wheel bearings solved it.Really looking for ward to it, but im sufferin from a wobbly steering wheel, had the wheels balanced but still does it at low speed

…see….have faith…
Mind you, we set out for Maidstone the other day and the GTI started playing up when we got to Ashford…..missing, not pulling….so headed back, and the little 'beasty' went perfectly after we got most of the way home.!!!!
If the car does not want a day out it will have it's 'bad hair day' !!!
