what would be your dream car, if u got it post it. mine golf mk1 with skyline r34 engine be well fun, or a capri

Could go on all night about cars I would like to own, but would love these three.
 

Lotus Elan (130 Sprint version preferably :twisted: )

Lotus Europa (ugly backend, but quick. Rear suspension mounted off engine and gearbox like an F1 car, might be a bit of a pain to change the clutch though)

Ferrari Dino

The europa looks like a bread bin, but I love lotus cars

Porche 959 most advance supension in its time Bill Gates owned one but Porche rufuse to crash one to get it through the American regulations…so he can't drive it over there :cry:

Ferrari F40…lovely saw it at Earls Court motor show in 1989.. I was 18.

My all time car is a Caterham 7..originally Lotus Until Colin Chapman got bored!!!!…I would like to buy the kit, build it and drive to my hearts content. Unbelivable handling from a car which was designed in the early 60's no areo dynamics just great road holding

Fiat made the Ferrai designed V6 engine. The body was designed by the great Pininfarina and it was assembled by Ferrari.

The Lotus does look like a breadvan , but handles like a dream, sounds rather good and looks 70s'tastic. The breadvan back end was unbelievably an aerodynamic consideration designed to enable greater stability and top speed. Although it had been done many times before the Europa in the early sixties, seen a racing derivative of the Ferrari 250 GTO with a breadvan back end 8O .

Colin Chapman was a genius. Would love a Caterham, but this would be my ideal Chapman car - Lotus 79

Did anyone hear the story of how Lotus convinced all the other teams it was their differential that made the car so fast, as opposed to the aerodynamics? They used to cover it up with a cloth after each race, and fooled the other teams for a whole season  

I own the dream car - a MK1 GTI cabrio. I honestly think it's the best looking car ever. I would however like to own a carrera turbo for some sporty fun though!

Kins mate, you really should have come to the Classic Car Show as most of your dream cars were there! There was even a MK3 Cortina made up as an 'Interceptor' police car off the Mad Max films! 8O
