Door pin or door seal?

My gf's mk1 has a nasty habit of filling up like a swimming pool every time it rains.  The leak is coming in through the driver's side, and the door seal has a rip/tear/whatever you want to call it in it, however, the pin through the hinge is also worn.  This means the door has dropped a considerable amount, so would it be this that would be the problem?  If so, does anyone have a part number or anything for these pins, as my copy of ETKA has decided to stop working.

The part number for the pin is 321 831 421 , check that number out with vw first just to make sure . The water is probaly coming in through the plastic door membrane you can replace these using some plastic sheeting (large heavy duty plastic bags from builders merchants work a treat) and some spray glue , lots cheaper than going to vw .

I'm fairly sure it's coming from the top of the door, but I will check the door membrane too.  I'll pick a couple of those door pins up tomoro from VAG, cheers for that.

Nice , i keep on looking at the corrado's on ebay before reminding myself that i need a cheap car . Cheers for the pics should keep me sedated for another couple of days .

Lol, nah, pulled into my mates house and they were all standing there like that, so I parked up and took a picture, I'm glad it came out so well.

Yeah, Corrado's aren't cheap cars, they can break a lot if you don't get a good example.

I know thats why i sold my vr after a ?600 pound bill , but i loved my 8 months with it . I keep lying to myself that i'd be happy with a white 16v .

That pic with the cows rathered round the Corrado, is almost worth a "Caption contest". Almost all the cows are looking at the car.

I have a signature I use on other forums - it's a pretty good caption!
