Did vw do a mk1 pickup?
Hello
Did Vw do a mk1 pickup and did they do a mk2? If so what year did each start and finish production?
Thank you

There was the VW Caddy pick up which was based on the Mk1. I think it was first produced around 1979/80 and I believe it's still in production in South Africa.
There wasn't a Mk2 Golf version but the Skoda Felicia was the basis for the mk2 Caddy pick in Europe.

Thank you very much for your responce.
I wasn't very sure, mainly on the basis that there is no mk2 cabbrio golf, but the mk1 cabbrio was still being made untill the late 80's when the mk2 golf was being produced.
Cheers

Caddy's in their beautiful Mk1 guise were generally available in the UK 85-92.
They are essentially the front half of four door MK1s with a pickup rear end.
As a swansong for the model VW produced 200 RHD Caddy sports with a Clipper bodykit, alloys and a detuned 1.8 GTI lump for the UK market
