decent couriers to transport engine up the country

im hearing absolute horror stories of engines being transported about the country n getting damaged. Also need one who picks up at weekend and is not overly pricey.

I used Paisley Freight last time, who actually sent TNT. Had no problems with them.

l can vouch for paisley freight as l use them alot to deliver stuff nationwide. competitively priced and the stuffs usually insured.

seems i am out of luck. I require weekend pick up and no one does it. The ones who will pick up are wanting stupid money ranging from 150-200 odd quid.

what are you picking up & where is it & where is it going to ? l maybe able to help depending on the later…..

Not sure if you've got this sorted but when I bought my KR from Stevens VW they charged me £50 delivery and sent it on a pallet through Bartrums (http://www.bartrums.com/). It arrived in one piece the next day so it might be worth giving them a go?
