Oh dear yet another one I'm sorry but it looks like you could well have been had here.

I just wish folk on here would follow my advise when buying from folks on here.

Always Always try to buy from a paid member of the club, that way we can trace them and try to help the buyer.

A couple of years ago the rules on selling items on this site changed as before you HAD to be a paid member to advertise and sell stuff on the site, but this was changed as some folks thought it reduced the amount of items being offered for sale.

but when that rule was in place there where very few cases such as yours, sadly there seems to be more and more now that there is no accountability for the seller.

hope you get sorted.

Dont ask what your club can do for you, but what can you do for your club?

if you've paid by PayPal could you not get the dosh back?

Unfortunately, if you've paid as a 'gift' you're up a creek, which is how most scammists get around PayPal's legal-ness

Get your claim in quick, there's a 45 day limit for items paid for but not received.

It's hard to manage for the moderators bud…. unless it can be programmed…. but even then Kenno is swampped with work for the site

Feel sorry for you mate.  Never nice to see people taking advantage of this great community  :banghead: .  Like already said though the only advice really is to buy from full members or well known normal users.

and never send as a gift on paypal or bank transfer.

Hang on…innocent until proven guilty etc. Its probably been sent, but lost or delayed in the post (the combination of xmas and the weather has meant many couriers are dealing with massive backlogs etc). Start the paypal dispute before your time runs out though, and while its ongoing, if the sender didn't get a tracking number or sent it by regular post etc, or is not making contact then that's his problem not yours, Paypal should sort you out your money back.

You did pay by Paypal and not the "send a gift" option, right???

hang on…. If you buy something which doesn't turn up and you loose contact for 5 weeks then id say its looking like he has been ripped off.

Im affraid on the internet the innocent until proven guilty thing just wont cut it as people act differently online as its faceless.

TBH I don't know if he's been ripped off or not. You might be right, or there might be an innocent explanation, sometimes there is a good reason why people don't check their PMs etc etc.

Step 1 is to try contacting him and resolving the issue directly.

Step 2 is to raise a Paypal dispute. For items paid for but not received, the dispute must be raised between 7 days and 45 days from date of payment.

There's plenty of information on the Paypal Help pages, on how you raise a dispute/claim etc.

Semi resolved

I was a foolish sod who paid by the 'Gift' option on paypal, which i wont be doing again any time soon!
Though every dark cloud n all, I've since had a reply from Teamreg stating he'd been away for some time & is happy to give either a refund or post out my light cluster!

Thanks for all your help & advice folks  :D

I'll keep you posted as to when it might arrive!
