Is that the same twin cam as fitted to later Fiats 132's? Great engine!

Either the 77 or 78 Aston V8. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

If they went for too much brass I'd settle for either of the Mustangs.

I seriously have a chubby.

Yradave says relax.

Dunno if it was fitted to the Fiat, it's called the 'Nord' engine and was in the Giulia, Giulietta, Spider in various forms from 1600 to 2000cc

A twin spark version was in the Giulia GTA as well in either 1300 or 1600cc which was a right little screamer

It is a twin cam 8v, although a 16v head was also produced but is very rare

Had a 2.0l in my Alfa (before I had to sell it)

Fantastic engine, especially on twin webers

just had a quick look, the Fiat engine you are thinking about is the 'Lampredi' which was the base for the later Alfa twin spark engine

I think the Fiat Twin Cam was an Iron Block. Very similar though.

I used to put the 1600cc Fiat twin cam in a Talbot Sunbeam shell and Grass Track it. Used to scream to 9000rpm!
