Just checked out some of my old cars. All are down as 'unlicenced' except for my old Mini which doesn't mention licenced/unlicenced at all. I wonder if this means the Mini's been scrapped and the rest are festering away in back yards / being driven illegally, or if they've all been scrapped or what ?

My old golf gti is down there as unlicensed too, with its date of liability as November 1997. Does this mean that's about when it went to that big race track in the sky  :cry: ?

Date of Liability appears to be the date when Tax or redeclaration of SORN is due (based of observation of my wheels)

Liability does mean the date on which the owner is liable to pay tax or declare SORN.

Don't forget to look at the Export value - if it says "export", your old car has been permanently exported out of the UK - both of my Mk1's have this status (because I brought them to Dublin with me when I moved back home from Hertfordshire).
