the amazing adventures of flapjack and chowder is what i have to watch when daughter here and they pretty messed up thinking bout it last chowder i had to watch had the lil chubby purple kid climbing up a giant to deliver a cake to someone who lived on his head, he had to do it in a certain time or the person got it for free (ala dominos etc). Not a plotline that can be conjured without using something illegal i wouldn't of thought

the grim adventures of billy and mandy is where it's at!!!!

the last one i watched involved a "noseromancer" (nose wizzard,) who was stealing noses as he accidentally flicked his off while picking it and wanted a replacement…

nothing like a cartoon solely based around a Jamaican grim reaper who was tricked into being 2 kids best friend/slave for ever.

That took some chemical assistance i'm sure…

Jon.

I dunno. I reckon there's always been an element of the risque in cartoons. Scooby Doo was like one long drug trip! We just didn't notice it because we're kids. And smurfs? Who came up with that idea? I don't think the UK ever got Fat Albert (Bill Cosby's voice) but one of the kids looked a bit like a mushroom head.

personaly hate modern cartoons my little boy is two so his tv is what ever someone else is watching as he don't pay much attetion, i blame power rangers really since they 1st started when i was a kid it seem to kill cartoons off, and never been the same since in my mind

also hate the new takes on old classics like the new tom and jerrys, animated thomas tank engine where all the killing of classics end

i'm probly just an old fart to be fair, but i do think they messed up loads off stuff and cartoons these days just have not got that innocent fun any more,

if you go back abit to the famous 5 bet most people have forgot about it, and i bet most on here that do remember don't know why it was axed from bein shown in the uk, all becuase one off the boys names was dick

and not so long ago there was a kids program on bbc or itv and to say the programes name sounded like go f your self or something nasty like that, i wish i could remember the programs name, i remember at the fumming when my ex partners boy relised what else it was said out loud if you read it out and not know there was a pause which made the whole thing say something different or vs versa one way or another it was very rude and probly still on tv no doubt

i noticed the other posts aswell 35 years ago sea men and a boys name called dick in childrens programs was fine becuase kids were innocent ish back then compared today, i can remember playing british bulldog kiss chase and silly games like that, you mention that 2 a ten year old there like british what, you explan and there like nah i only play games where i move a joy stick and kiss chase ain't there where you text kiss's all day etc
