car back on road today so a few pics

hi all,

been joined for a while now but car has been in storage over winter while ive been doing bits to it. Finally got finished this morning so got it taxed and it's back on the road. Heres some pics of how it stands now.

Have you had to do alot to it?
What sort of brake setup have you got there?

How come you went for bonnet pins, do you do track stuff?

not had anything major to do, just bits and pieces of the engine to tidy up and a new cambelt. Stripped the rear interior out, put a battery cut out on it and changed the points in the distributor (which was a first!) no nice electronic ignition on this.
As far as the brakes go im not completely sure yet but im trying to find out. I do know it has a mk2 gti rear axle with disc brakes and that there is a brake bias in side the car and the servo has been done away with (very heavy brake pedal!!) up front has bigger discs and calipers but not sure what yet.

bonnet pins where on when i bought it but really like the look of them on there and im planing some track days this year so gonna keep them i think.
