Calling all old ravers Manchester and Lancs!

Quick request to see if anyone is interested in a promo shoot we're doing next week

The day is tbc but cars probably required 12pm - 10pm

We're recreating a 1989/90 (tbc) rave for a shoot for a major uk artist

Looking at all the old youtube footage there were a fair few Mk1s in those convoys.

Anyone interested send me a PM and I'll get back to you - no massive fees but we'll cover expenses etc

Also after any other period cars - say 1978-1990 - spread the word to anyone you think might be up for it

Shoot date is now going to be Monday 15th and we'll wrap all the cars by 6pm

Nearer the date we'll also have more concrete start time too so people are knocking about in this silly cold weather

i would have come up as well defo! sounds good, but mines sorn for winter, it would have been expensive to re tax and fuel etc, wish they did 1 month tax! cant be bothered with claiming tax back after using for a month etc :-)

I wonder how much filming is being fine in Manchester on Monday?

I've been asked to supply my car - by the same guy who asked for it for "Worried About The Boy" filming.

Bob is his name. He's also riding a motor bike in a police uniform in an advert at the moment ….. But I can't remember which one!!!!!

My mates car got into this bit of filming, its a G reg BMW 3 series in grey. Tidy car too.

Yeah I work as the art director - been lucky to do a few things with a lot of period cars in - which always makes it more interesting for me

We got Bob to do the RAC advert for us last year - he was actually the oily hands at the end!

Spoke to your mate Paul with the E30 - nice car - I think he damaged a wheel    (the company will of course pay for repair)

I was in the red cabby with some 'MC' youths……!

We then had to return to the warehouse party…….at 6am travelled back to Rochdale for a 'sunrise' shot - eventually got done at 12pm

28 hr shoots are too much for me these days…….still recovering 2 days later!

no worries - theres always stuff going on - generally not period but I always like to use cars with 'character'

WOW TONY! Monroes at Great Harwood some rough events there!eventually burnt down in dubious circumstances :roll:  used to be called "Cloggers " before that in my time :redfaced: Yeh early eighties I'am affraid :redfaced: approx 3 minutes walk home then :roll:

I was always on the 'other side' as a new PC in Hertfordshire. I got put in vans and was bussed around the county to turn cars round etc. At the time I was was more interested in listening to the music!!!
One morning in St Albans after everthing had closed down you should have seen the amount of 'gear' on the floor of the warehouse. Loads of the stuff!!!  :wink:

If the raver organisers were getting sophisticated - then the cops weren't!!! Look at those PC's and scanners… they look so dated!!!  :redfaced:
