broken generators

Basicly a bloke had 3 broken generators and he said if i could fix them all then i could have one of them. So i thought bargain.

Anyways I have cleaned the carburettors and the jets and i have managed to get two of them to fire up and run, but they will only run with the choke closed. When i open the choke the engines stall. Also the throttle is wide open from start and doesnt seem to close at all

Any help would be appreciated

If I help and it fixes it, can I have the generator?
