Quite a few people have fitted something similar, although if you know a bit about electronics you could probably make it yourself a bit cheaper.
It definitely works well, whichever way you choose to go

Brighter lights
When I first started driving my cabby at night around Lincolnshire's POORLY marked country roads i first thougt of a headlamp upgrade, but I decided to try some Philips "Power2night" bulbs first (I had tried them previously in my 1990 Alfa 164 Cloverleaf) .
The difference was remarkable. Admittedly they did cost as much as the loom with the delivery but it was definitely worth it. I challenge anyone to try them and not see a MARKED difference when driving at night, especially if there are not many/any street lights around.

I brought one of these uprated looms from Ebay a while ago and have literally just finished fitting it.
I changed the bulbs to silver stars (Osram) and was impressed with the difference. Now I have just fitted the loom and they are amazing. Far better than I had thought.
You could easily make it and I thought about doing it, although I am very lazy and have had the loom for a month or so and only just fitted it.
If anyone is thinking about it then do it. Took me too long to fit really, and the wires could have done with being 3 inches longer to hide it all a bit neater, but at least I can see at night now!!!
So, from actual experience rather then hearsay, this is a worthwhile investment along with some better bulbs you cannnot go wrong!

OK Rob - sold me. I have Osram Silvers as well - and they're pretty good. For ?15 I'll chuck some more wires at it and see if there is a quantum leap - nothing that cannot be changed.
Thanks for the tip.
