Brand new MK1 Golf's from South Africa...

I've seen a lot posted up about these cars so I though i'd post a link for you all to look at..

The Citi Golf is still being made and, as discussed in other threads on here, is slightly different to early MK1's. It is 5 door only and the front wings and also different (though i'm sure it'd be easy getting it to look like an early UK car. The Citi Golf does not come with a cat, so this would need to be retro-fitted if bought into the UK as a new car. A fog lamp would also be necessary. I brand new Mk1 Citi starts at about ?5k (tempting I know!) but allow for quite a bit extra for getting a cat/lambda probe gubbins fitted. C&R Enterprises have experience with making this conversion.

The MK1 GTi (CTi in SA speak) was made up until 1996, so that last one's would be N or P plates over here. They are rare and sought after over there so it'd be even harder getting one from the UK.

Citi Golfs come up for sale in the UK occasionally, I nearly bought an N reg 1.3 version a couple of months back but it was white
