Cool to protect the paint on a journey, uncool otherwise. Don't leave it on in the sun, otherwise you will have a nice line eventually.

I used to own a mk1 - well I've had 2 actually - YDU 720X & SMU 420Y. Currently I drive an 98 Scotia White Mitsubishi Evolution V RS…. fancy getting another mk1 someday :D

Looks excellent here, and I can understand the protection afforded, but was thinking about painting the area with stonechip (as on the panel under the bumpers), then the original colour over that……

Owning a Mk1 cabby is a vertical learning curve…

I like em big . Would have one on my car as it looks like it went full throttle through a gravel factory . Gives certain cars a US flavour , but they do trap dirt and moisture .
