Best way to get number plates off that are stuck down hard?

Hi guys, wondering if anyone can tell me the best way to get number plates off that are stuck down really hard?

I use a length of strong string or if you can get some fishing line that is very good, then slide it in from the side of the number plate and pull along the length cutting through the sticky pads.

You might have to pull the string from side to side in a sawing action - and work gloves are good - protect your fingers if you use fishing line!

dental floss usually best way with badges - being a plate give that or the fishing line ago.

Welding wire also works quite well, def needs gloves or it will cut your fingers to shreds.
