best car best club

got myself a land rover series 3 for off road use at work and have been looking for clubs to join for info and advice, with no luck. i suppose i have been spoiled being a member on here where info and advice, buying and selling has been easy to find.
just made me realize how lucky i am to be a mk1 dubber
anyone got a land rover and a member of a half decent club ?
as the ones i have seen so far dont light a candle to this site

I've got a series 3 but I am only in our local club though I think this is slowly dieing due to issues which are affecting not only our club but many other off road clubs too:

The lack of lanes we can now drive due to the pesky ramblers.

Our playday sites are being hit hard by the MSA on how many you can have each year and loads of insurance restrictions.

There is a national series 3 club which I thought about joining but haven't yet.

If you want a local club probably best to buy one of the Land rover mags with the list of clubs in.

Best stick with the MK1!!

when i had my lightweight landy yrs ago i was a member of the red rose landrover owners club here in lancashire
was great they had a quarry to play in and had off road days every month + other family days
surely there must be a surrey owners club?

the land rover is at work ( in herts ) where we have 180+ acres of fields/forest, so i have plenty of land to off road it, so i dont mind where the club is based as i will only be using it on our grounds for shooting rabbits etc. i wanted a club just for advice really on parts/techno info etc, if its half as good as this site then all the better, but the ones i have seen so far look rubbish. just putting a new starter motor and fuel tank in this w/end then i will get some pics up
