bbs... yes?

hmmm…

just scouring the internet for some new wheels for my sportline.

came across these…

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BBS-Edition-One-RM-Split-Rims-Polished_W0QQitemZ8059761967QQcategoryZ28648QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

they are rather nice, however i always planned to buy some 'uber' wide rm's (about 7 1/2 j with stretched tyres) (see the mk1 cover car on april's golf+).

these however are 6.5j, and not sure if it's worth doing?>?>?>?>? to buy some new wider dishes would set me back about 80 notes a piece.

think if i do invest i may purchase some spacers…?

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE'S GOING TO BE ANY PROBLEM WITH MY 'SPACER' PLAN, ALSO I STILL WANT THE STRETCHED LOOK, BUT HAVE NEVER DONE IT BEFORE. CAN ANYONE NOMINATE A DECENT SIZE TYRE THAT WILL LOOK THE MUTTS NUTS? I WON'T BE USING THE WHEELS FOR DAILY USE, SO IMPRACTICALITY ISN'T AN ISSUE.

Cheers Guys,

Mark

Hi - if you go for deeper dishes and make them 7.5 or 8" wide you could use 195 45 15 tyres for a stretched look. You may even get 185 45 15 tyres on there (they are available from a couple of manufacturers, but are harder to find). Spacers won't make the wheels look any deeper (obviously). If you do go for spacers you're better off looking for 'hubcentric' type that have spigot rings built into them. Delta Mics are one company that sell these.
Cheers,
Mark
