Bargain of the century

Watching TopGear this week i really wanted to trade my Mk1 in for another VW. As it costs ?5M to make and you can buy it for ?800K its a steal. the bank refused me the loan "as you would have no where to keep it if you sold your house"  :dontknow: i'd drive it 24/7…. keep dreaming!

Nice tho innit.

it can let a McClaren F1 roadcar get to 120 before starting off and STILL beat it to 200MPH.

And its a VOLKSWAGEN so its reliable.

It was definetly some piece of kit 8O 16 rads 8O limited to 252 8O 0-60 2.5 sec 8O and uses ?100 of fuel in 12 minutes at full pelt 8O i want one

Look on the bright side - if you sell your golf you might be able to afford half an indicator stalk, or maybe even a whole one if you're really lucky!!!

No seriously, what a car… I was in awe of the engineering and the styling  8)

How about if everyone on the site pitched in a grand? Then we could almost afford one… sort of…

I've put one on my christmas list. I need 8 litres and 1000BHP!! Prize for the first person to transplant engine and drivetrain into their MK1

hmmm porsche or bugatti…..not a tough option!

Id prefer a longtail McLaren F1 GTR in that rather subtle yellow…

But the Bugatti is porn on wheels..

Hard to see how that can ever be bettered. The ultimate car is a VW!  8)
