Are you still out there?

Having a nostalgic moment today as a few weeks ago I bumped into an old work friend I hadn't seen in almost 20 years. While chatting he asked me what ever happened to that mint MK1 GTI you had or do you still have it?
I answered ,times were hard financially back in 1991 and I had to sell to keep my then business afloat which was my biggest regret & sacrifice as I never managed to save the business anyway.

Happy ending..things alot better now and I have the car I always promised myself an A reg Helios Blue campaign.

So does anybody know where my old Lhasa green GTI is A737 FLF as I would like to see it again and maybe catchup with present owner and swap it's history.

try contacting the person you sold it to, surely they'll be able to tell you what happened to it?

Hi there
I was the second owner of A676 FLF…this car was THE best car I've ever owned. It was bought from a Barister, forgot his name based in Hornsey Lane, N6 London. It was bought for £3500 and 3 years later, was sold for the same amount!
I changed the old nine slots for P6 slots + P6's, lowered suspension and Jamex exhaust. Oil/Plugs/filters were changed every 3 months, irespective of mileage…this car was my baby!
It took me to Italy, a holiday I will never forget. I loved this car, and later and now regretted selling it. I even met my true love in this car, whom I'm still with…unfortunately!

wonder who has it now….what a love affair!
all the best
