Are all Cabrio,s done by Karmann

Hi Folks

I have an 1980 GLS golf Cabrio which has karmann badges on the side. my question is are all cabs done by Karmann of what is the difference..

They are a 'styling house' that took the standard shopping trolly aimed at busy mums and turned it in to a stylish, eye catching, iconic pram…… Aimed at women before they became mums?!?!?!

I thought the same till I read the Wikipedia story. seems they are more like AMG or Bauer which are supplied with a rolling chassis and allowed to go nuts,..


But I do like your explanation…   easy for us simple men to understand

No!

I was in there today to order a new leccy window switch though and heard a poor customer being ripped off for extras on their service. New wiper blades ?29.00 inc vat. Probably just needed to be cleaned with vinegar. Rear window washer needed to be replaced because it wasn't providing enough pressure, add to this a flush for the tubes ?59.00. Probably just need the crud washed out with some hot soapy water. The list went on and on with stuff to be advised about and you could just feel the clouds darkening above the head of the poor owner who kept interrupting with amazement.

BTW one window switch for my Mk1 was almost ?20.00.

Seems expensive.
