Anyone looking for a Track Car?

Hi guys not sure if this is the right section but there is a MK I GTI local to me that needs saving. I would have it myself but I already have a MK I being restored  and am moving soon so cant afford another car.

The car in question is a Helios Blue GTI that has been track repaired. It could well be a campaign and has a spare P Slot in the back. Has an OMP roll cage and has been lowered on what looks to be Koni. Its been stood for a few months outside a builders yard on an old farm. I got the impression that the guy that owns it took in payment or has loss interest. He says he has a lot of paperwork and it had a respray a few years back.

Think is about 117k on the clock, some rust spots on the door bottoms, filler cap so respray quality?? Stripped interior. Sparco race seats.

I know the guy is keen to sale and it just stood there. If anyone is intrest I can get the guys number. The car is near Winchester, Southampton. It looks solid and could be a good project and maybe could be bought cheaply.

Its been stood for at least 8 months or more now. When I asked the guy he really didnt know what it was worth but he's not stupid. I habe no idea how he values it. make me offer he told me!

Someone needs to look at it do some negiotating with the chap as I said to the guy the cage etc limits the number of potential buyers. If I was not moving and restoring another one I would have it!

He told me its mechanically fine and he would put an MOT on it when I spoke to him 2-3 months ago.

Still there I think he would want nearer treble that sum to be honest.
