Triumph all the way.  Keep it British!
Sprint ST or Speed triple - second hand though.
Mother and father in laws to be had both of the above.  My other half will soon be inheriting the Speed Triple and I'm looking at getting last year's Tiger - I'm too big for the others!

Both Kawasaki - a ZZR-600 D model, and a KDX 175.

ZZR i've had for 7 years and it's been 100% reliable. Got open pipes on it which are loud - especially at 14,000rpm!!

KDX is for muddy fun - however everytime i go out on it i manage to break it   about to put it back together to go out next Saturday (my birthday treat - a day out mud plugging!! )

of the 3 bikes you've listed i can offer the following:

KTM - if you're not interested in long distance (keeping below 50 mile long trips) it is fantastic - you can show sports bike riders your tailpipes through the twisties and then get wasted on the straight. It's noisy, vibrates like a rampant rabbit and the seat is alittle on the thin side.

The Suzuki is a great bike. Not ridden one but know a couple of guys who keep going back to them after other things. I've always fancied the 750 myself…

The ducati - 2 wheeled porn, looks like the 916 / 996, reputedly handles better and ain't far off the pace of the big one either. I've never fitted one

However, i also agree with Dannyboyblue: i've nearly bought a Triumph T595 on two occasions. The wife stopped me the first time. I bought the Golf instead the second time. And, as a Kwak man, what about the ZX6?

Cheers guys, i have read that the 748 is the same bike as the 916 just the engine internals etc are different but the one i am looking at has an 853 big bore kit and different cams, head work, eprom, exhaust  etc apparently its quicker than a 999. as for the zx6r i like the new one in bright orange   and the new 599cc engine is supposed to be great but its still a zxr and there are a lot about. Really fancied something a bit different. the only thing putting me off the ducati is the weight its over 50lb heavier than the gsxr and i aint the strongest of people  .
Lovin the kdx caudy, nearly bought a kmx125 to use for work last year, great fun to ride i bet.

6 for kix's

Just trying to dig my fireblade out from the side my Campaign which at the moment is up on axle stands and making it a tad difficult, as for the bikes you mentioned:
KTM's are fine for blurting about and 400 yard long wheelies but not for distances. :?
GiSXERS fast reliable for the difference I'd go for a 750 bit bigger and  more power watch out for ex-race stuff plenty about, look for mint body work just been put back on and lock wired bolts, sum plug with a hole though it is a dead give away. :)
Ducati's like anything Italian need looking after, not a everyday commuter bike bit of exotica. Heavy running cost and if it has not got every stamp in the service book stay clear, I think belts need doing every 5k miles looking at at least ?500. Big race pipe sound ace but need setting up properly or can cause engine damage. :o
In my opinion for what its worth( 23 years of sliding down the road and carrying on alarmingly) go for Jap stuff CBR Hondas 600's and 900's are bulit proof if looked after will start every morning and will not kill you to ride all day, but what do I know I like blasting about in a 23 year old Golf GTI and leaving my other 3 year old Golf GTI on the drive….Cheers Stu

Both myself and the missus have bikes mate.  We have got a '01 Kawasaki ZX6-R in Yellow and a '00 Yamaha R6 in Red/White.  We have only had our liscences 10 months and love it :D

I have spent alot on the ZX6-R since we bought it with race brakes, modified rear end, jacked the rear up like a MotoGP bike and so on but now I have the urge to sell it and get what I have always wanted!!

Ducati 748SP :D  :D

Will post pics later when I have found some.

Heres my current transport, come rain or shine

It's a kawasaki z550ltd (well it was) which will hopefully soon have a monoshock gpz550 back end grafted in.  Should stiffen it up a bit!

Silver Limited Edition 75th Anniversary bike with 8400 miles on the clock.  Got out there to the shop only to find out that the guy who works for them that owns it has locked his keys in his tool box by mistake tonight!!!  DOH!!!

Hopefully going back on Friday afternoon to view/ride it :D

Anyone ever owned one on here?

Yeah i have myself a Yamaha R1,have had it for a few years now and looking at getting myself something new once i hopefully get the points off my license this year……none of them were caused by the bike i must add.
They cant catch me
Been riding bikes for 20 years now and havent owned a twin yet but have taken a few prillas  and co out for demos  but still like the higher and quicker revs of the in-line fours.
The 748 is a classic style bike but i hope you aint got long legs as like the 916/996 etc they have the shortest peg to seat height of any sports bike out there which might make them a little bit uncomfy. :banghead:
Roll on the summer so i can get back out on the toy 8)

Waaaaaay back in the 90's when I rode for a Motorcycle club in Johannesburg, I had a Yamaha 1.1 Europa Special.  Loved it, much easier to ride than the Suzuki 1100 which I made my ex-husband ride
