Anyone from Doncaster?

Hello one and all! Anyone from Doncaster?  :dontknow:  Tried lookin on members list but its takin so long to load pages on my crappy dial up connection! Would be interested to hear from anyone in Donny area!

I am in North Lincs just out side Scunthorpe . Not a million miles away .

Have a tin top GTI 1983 , will be on the road this spring , what you got quickchick ?

Ive only ever seen a few other MK1's in and around Donny. Annoying! if you see other ones do you peep/flash your lights or just drive past pretending you not seen em? I hate ignorance!

I work all over this area and i have to say that even seeing a MK1 is rare , when i am mobile again in mine i will flash at any Mk1 to say hi .

2x golfs mk1 's warmsworth we will flash when we see another no worries

Wow post woken up from 4 years ago , i have and i do massive amounts of travelling on Lincs roads but in 4 years have only seen 4 MK1's on the road. A silver GTi 1983 near Welton [at least 4 times ]. Scampton a red Mk1 on an X reg and in Retford and Lincoln a 1983 Gti with the reg number HUE [also seen in a magazine] oh and Scunny a nice 4 door 1982 diesel near the hospital is another regular sight .

I live in Donny, and got a 1985 GTi Cabby,
It's spent nearly 2 years undergoing a rebuild and now only comes out with the sun.

Hence the reason you don't see it on the road that often. It's in winter hibernation at the moment.

me and my son in law have just got are golfs on the road one cab one tin top both in warmsworth we will flash you if we see ya (our lights that is LOL)we are both going to the vw bigfattour on july 4th well that is if they dont break down LOL see ya around

im a donny lad, Bentley, you prob see my 88 cabby kicking around, its my daily driver too, give us a flash if u see us, always wave back
