ANYONE ELSE WITH A PIRELLI EDITION MK1???

Just wanted to know if there are any other folk on here that owns one? :dontknow:

No the Pirelli Editions were similar to the British campaign run out model, made only for the European market, it came with out the side stripes, had the option of sunroof or not, colour coded bumpers etc

Only a few have made it over to due to the facy that they too were only made in 1983.

Mine was imported by a serviceman based in Germany.

Alright guys-i bought a book from a shop about 10yrs ago called VW Power and Style.Ive never seen another like it and it was a few yrs old when i bought it-it has some amazing old photos inside and some crazy 80`s body kit creations.It mentions about the pirelli edition cars and has a picture of a red one.It says that they were made for the south african market-and listen to this-it has a picture of a 5dr mk1 GTI-not one of those rubbish citi things but a proper old one.It says that they sold some of these in s africa too.Does anyone want some pics??

Ahem, will let you know that I drove one of those "rubbish citi things" in South Africa for years.  It was an 1800 Cti and it went like the clappers!!!!!!

Hi, I'm new to this fourm and I own a MK1 GTI PIRELLI EDITION, I dont know alot about the car and would like know a bit more. It is in good solid order and the interior is in good condition, it runs but needs slight attention for MOT.
I am also thinking about selling the vechile if anyone is interested get back to me.
